As part of the NSDP certification, you’ll complete 25 hours of hands-on practice. These hours are all about taking what you’ve learned in the course—methods, scripts, and strategies—and applying them in real-world situations.
This practice might include working with friends, family, volunteers, or practice clients in-person (you are responsible for sourcing). The goal is to give you practical experience in guiding others through decluttering sessions, handling common challenges, and building your confidence as a professional.Â
As you work through the hours, you will take before/after/progress pictures and fill out a log of who you're working with, where they're located, the space you work in, how you're helping, etc. Once your log is done, you'll submit it with the rest of the certification application for approval.Â
