We offer a Trained Decluttering Volunteer Course for those who do not want to run a decluttering business, but would like to volunteer to help those in their community with decluttering their home. We also offer a Certified Decluttering Professional Certification for those decluttering professionals who are running a decluttering business.

Trained Decluttering Volunteer: This is for those who do not want to run a decluttering business, but would like to volunteer to help those in their community with decluttering their homes. You will learn all of the necessary skills and feel confident as you approach friends, family and neighbors to support their simplifying process.

Certified Decluttering Professional: Certified Decluttering Professionals will receive a National Certification upon completion of the NSDP coursework and required hours for decluttering. Certified Decluttering Professionals may also pay an additional fee to be listed on the NSDP website.

To begin, you likely can use supplies you already have in home. Over time, there may be additional things you choose to invest in but initially you should be able to use what you already have!

Certified Decluttering Professionals will receive a National Certification upon completion of the NSDP coursework and a required 25 hands-on practice hours for decluttering.

The practice hours may be done with friends or family, but you may not be living in the same house.

National Society of Decluttering Professionals (NSDP) Certification Course is a 5-module certification program that provides training sessions (both prerecorded and live), practice hours (including live workshops), includes certification upon completion of the course, as well as ongoing support and professional development opportunities. 

There will be options for continuing education, but there is no required renewal process once certified. Any updates made to the course will be made available for those previously enrolled and certified.

The course is a pre-recorded, on-demand format so you can learn and grow at your own pace, in whatever time works best for your schedule.

The NSDP Community Monthly Membership is a supportive community of fellow decluttering experts. You'll be inspired, encouraged, and equipped to help people successfully declutter their homes. You'll receive continuing education, live Q&A sessions, expert panels, and business support. The skills, confidence, and support you gain will not only enhance your professional experience, but also bring lasting positive changes to your business.

For those who prefer a non Facebook option, there will be an additional option included that can be accessed through Kajabi communities on our website. All the content will be the same on both platforms, so you won’t miss a thing!

The weekly live sessions will also be recorded, so replays will always be available and uploaded for access.

It depends on the individual, but working through the videos, course lesson materials, printables, and hands on practice hours (25 hands-on practice hours are required) will take approximately 28-30 hours.

Yes! All videos from the volunteer course are also in the professional certification course.

Once you have gone through the professional certification process, are certified, and are an active member of the Support Community, you will have the ability to have your website featured and linked from the NSDP website. This feature will only be available to those who have been certified through NSDP and are an active member for the Support Community.

If you have a passion to help others find freedom from stuff and this is something you would do for free because you enjoy that much, this just may be for you! You do genuinely have to care for people and love making sense of chaos.

Yes! They are still helpful in equipping you with the skills to be able to go into people’s homes and feel confident in helping them declutter.
